- As a guideline to ensure that each unit within the Hang Tuah University in carrying out its service duties and functions is in accordance with established standards
- As a means to communicate to stakeholders, Internal Quality Assurance System Policy (SPMI) was implemented at Hang Tuah University.
Strategy
- The SPMI is implemented regularly and according to the guidelines
- The Quality Assurance Agency (LPM) is given the full task and authority to build a quality culture
- Developing an integrated database system
- Involving all components of the academic community
Scope
All academic elements within Hang Tuah University are subject to the implementation of SPMI, which includes: the Rectorate, Senate, Internal Supervisory Unit, Bureau, Technical Implementation Unit, Institution, Faculty and Graduate Program, Study Program, Student and Student Clubs, and supporting units for the implementation of the teaching and learning process.
Quality Management
To ensure the implementation of SPMI in academic and non-academic fields is carried out effectively, the management activities of SPMI are carried out using the PPEPP method (Determination of DIKTI standards, Implementation of DIKTI standards, Evaluation, Control, and Improvement of Higher Education Standards)
- Determination (P) of Dikti Standards (SN Dikti) and Higher Education Standards (SN PT)The standard setting was formulated through an internal meeting held by the Chairperson of the LPM and the SPMI Formulating Team of Hang Tuah University. The team formulated the Dikti standards and their derivatives following the vision of Hang Tuah University. The setting of quality standards must be interconnected with existing standards to achieve the goals, mission, and vision of Hang Tuah University. Quality standards set by LPM must be approved by the University Senate. The approved quality standards are subsequently made available to all academics.
- Implementation of (P) Dikti Standards and Higher Education Standards is done in phases commencing at the university level (leaders and personnel). It is tied to the organizational structure that is used at Hang Tuah University: Faculty level (leaders and staff): Study Program level ( Head of Study Program); Quality Control Group (GKM), Bureaus, Institutions, and other related Units. All academics must comply with Hang Tuah University standards.
- Evaluation of Implementation (E) of Higher Education Standards. Evaluation of the implementation of Dikti Standards and Higher Education standards is carried out by means of Internal Quality Audits (AMI) in the academic field by LPM, which is integrated with GKM in the faculty, and non-academic audits by SPI. The focus of the Internal Quality Audit is to examine the fulfillment of the Dikti Standards and Higher Education Standards at the stage of implementing the Dikti Standards and Higher Education standards. The outcomes of the AMI were used to evaluate how well SPMI performed in the Hang Tuah University environment. The results of AMI are reported by the Head of LPM to the Rector. A minimum of once each year, standards implementation is evaluated.
- Control of the Implementation of (P) Dikti Standards and Higher Education Standards will be carried out if: (a) in implementing the standards, if they have reached the Higher Education Standards, then they are maintained; (b) If deviations are found, or there are obstacles in the implementation of the Dikti Standards and Higher Education Standards, the Chairperson of the LPM takes corrective action and is followed up for improvement.
- Improvement (P) of Dikti Standards and Higher Education Standards (P). Improvement of Dikti Standards and Higher Education Standards is carried out on results that have met the Dikti Standards and Higher Education Standards. Standard improvement is aimed at achieving stakeholder satisfaction (internal and external). Standard Improvement decisions are made collaboratively and in a participatory and collegial manner based on data analysis.
